Stayed at the airport Westin while in Detroit for some meetings and ate breakfast each morning here. Our server Arlinda was super friendly, kind and attentive. The breakfast was perfect. Eggs cooked to order and served as requested! I met some colleagues for dinner one night and our server Michelle was excellent! She took excellent care of us. We got there early and stayed late and she was amazing, even while pulling double duty as the bartender! My turkey sandwich was delicious and my friends ordered the salmon-believed it, my other friend ordered the chicken and grits and said it was as good if not better than...
I had the pizza, had one bite. I told the server it was horrible she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. My husband had the meatballs. The sauce had nice flavor, however, the meatballs were so dense needed knife to cut. They have a full bar yet go in the back to get drinks and wine.
Just one thing and I hope they read this and consider a change . The Breakfast potatoes are horrible overfried hard crunchy squares
We tried to order strip steaks at around 930pm. First they said they were out of the mashed potatoes so we figured out a substitute. Then they came back and said they were out of the carrots, so we found a substitute. Then they came back and said they were out of steak. We had burgers instead of strip steaks. The waitress tried to help but communication between the kitchen and the wait staff is an opportunity and whoever does their ordering blew it.
Dave was wonderful. A maintenance issue caused me to have an unexpected extra day in Detroit in February. Dave was courteous and attentive making for a lovely meal. I noticed he was just as kind to everyone else at the restaurant. Will visit again the next time at I'm at DTW :)
Beautiful resturant, great service, very convenient.
Great place to go if you have some time to kill before a flight or decide to stay at the Westin the night before an early flight. The service is always friendly and prompt, the food is very good. While you would not come here for a night out, it is by far the best place at the McNamara Terminal.
Stopped in for a quick lunch on a layover. I liked the convenience of eating at great restaurant that wasn't "in" the airport, yet was. Service was fast, food and atmosphere were great. A glass of st. Michelle Reisling never disappoints and nor did the delicious kale salad. I added salmon for some protein, and it was great. Totally recommend.
I have Celiac disease..Informed our server at the bar. She was great and told me what i could eat and couldn't. She spoke to the chef to let them know I could not have cross contact. She was very conscious about the issue. I always advocate for myself because I have to. I was told there was a gluten free bun so ordered the hamburger and a salad since I couldn't have the fries due to a non dedicated fryer. My husband and I went to bed early since we had an early flight. I woke up at 9:30 vomiting. I didn't stop for 5 hours. My husband called 911, waited for them to arrive in the hall, in the meantime, I passed...
For being at the airport the prices are fair. The service was quick, the food was great, the atmosphere after traveling all day was very relaxing and the service by David was exceptional. The next time I travel through DTW I will definitely keep Reflections in mind and ask for David if he’s working.
service was great and so was the food!! came out piping hot and fresh
4 of us had an amazing meal. Scallop risotto, caramelized onion flat bread, pretzels. Dave took great care of us.
Food was ok. Definitely not worth the $. Service was slow. But enjoyed time with friends.
My family and I had a great time! We had a crab cake for the appetizer which had a great flavor. The horse radish sauce underneath of it was really nice. We had the turkey club, brown sugar curry salmon and New York strip steak. Everything was flavored very well and the steak melted in your mouth but I feel like it could have been just a little bit seasoned better. Then we split a chocolate lava cake for dessert which wasn’t really anything special. The portion sizes were very good for how expensive everything was. And the staff was super nice and friendly!
A bit pricey but you pay those prices when at the airport.
I travel through the Detroit airport often and this little hidden gem is ideal for a food option and to get away from the airport . Hotel and Reflections restaurant lounge are located adjacent to the airport in terminal A close to gate A36. There is a TSA check point plus scanner to get back into the terminal with a boarding pass and identification. Vibe is better than any airport : expect more relaxed less crowded and hotel ambiance. Reflections lounge serves up decent food for all tastes and has several vegetarian and gluten free options . After a long flight I needed some green healthier food so I chose the...
A bit of a hidden gem in the lobby of the Westin at DTW. The food and service were both great, and the menu has a wide variety of meat, fish, vegetarian, and vegan choices. The large, tranquil water feature and high ceiling make for a very nice setting.
